About 1870 Thomas De Lacy Moffet purchased a portion of Myall Creek station from Charles Coxen and named it `Cumkillunbah`. Later the name was changed to Kaimkillumbun and the township of that name is now situated on a section of that property. John and Julia worked for Thomas Moffet and it is believed that they were married while employed on the `Cumkillumbah` holding. In the early 1900’s John and Julia selected ‘Mount Pleasant’, a property near Irvingdale. This was to be the family home until John’s death. Later Julia moved to Dalby.

DALBY, June 8.
John Donovan, a selector, of Mount Pleasant, died suddenly at the Golden Fleece Hotel last evening. The deceased gentleman had been in town attending the Land Court, and partook of a hearty tea at the hotel table. Shortly after he complained of feeling unwell, and died before medical aid could be summoned. Dr. Broome held a post-mortem this morning, and found that death was due to failure of the heart’s action. The deceased was 69 years old, and leaves a wife and a grown-up family.

[1] I am the grandson of Mary Ellen Edwards (Donovan). My grandfather is Michael Gaslevich.
Thank you for your email. Attached are copies of hand drawn family trees as well as a birth certificate for Mary Ellen. We believe her to be the illegitimate daughter of Mary Ann Donovan, and that she adopted the Edwards name when Patrick and Mary Ann married. She may have been adopted by Patrick at some stage but we haven't been able to find any paperwork or information to confirm that theory.
I transcribed the information wrongly, Evelyn was born on the 2 August 1892 in Sandgate, Queensland and died 30 Mar 1976, place unknown at this time.

[2] Gday I'm looking for information on the origins of the below John Donovan and his ancestors to see if I have any Irish relatives in existence. If you don't could you point me to the best place to look? Any help would be very much appreciated. Cheers.
